The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Birth of a Grotto - Giannine Morris

+

It is hard to believe that it has already been three months since the USA Sacred Heart Missions Team was in Africa.  For the Uganda part of our 2014 trip, Lisa Morris and I were able to spend time with a dear friend from the 2013 mission trip, Fr. Timothy Mayamba Masaaba.

Lisa and I were together with our African counterpart, Pamela Angawa, from Kenya.  We were excited about visiting Fr. Timothy's new parish.  He had hosted us in his former parish of St. Austin's in Mbale, Uganda, last year.  This year, he was in Buchunya, Uganda.

While we visited Fr. Timothy and his parishioners, we took part in the Mass and ceremony for raising the cross on their church, which had once been accused of looking like a storefront.

In the dark of the night, both Pamela and Lisa separately commented that a certain banana tree sapling looked like a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Later the next morning, while it was still dark outside, I made the same comment, unaware that Lisa and Pamela had said the same the night before.  Pamela then declared that there should be a grotto built there.  We decided we should take a group photo with the "statue" in the place of Mary's future grotto.

Recently, we received this email from Fr. Timothy, addressed to Pamela:

Dear  Pamela,
Greetings  and  peace.
The  beginning  of  the  story  of  the  Grotto  is  well  known  to  you  Lisa  and  Giannine, when  the  three of  you  stayed with us in our little cool parish of Buchunya .

Pamela had a dream about the presence of a grotto and the next day she led all of us to this spot, we took a picture at that spot, and we prayed about it.

Two weeks after you left two ladies of our parish came to share with me about the strong inspiration to have grotto in our parish.

I shared this feelings with the whole community of Christians on Sunday and they unanimously agreed that indeed with the installation of the cross, on our church, we  needed the presence of the blessed mother to be felt in our parish.

On consultation, with the parish council, etc we felt the site could be changed from the back of the presbytery  to the outer  area, to enable people find quite time of prayer at the grotto.

A committee was then appointed  Pamela, in spite of her absence, will still be included on the committee and the whole USA team requested to intercede for the success of this idea  (attached ).

The programme of construction stretches to December 8th, and this will give us enough time knowing that our local contributions trickle in little by little.  The time frame and stages of construction have spiritual implications,  truly becoming and opportunity of real evangelization.  Renewing  christian  life  through family apostolate, retreats, celebrate  sacraments -Eucharist,Penance, marriages, etc.

Please  we  request for your prayers and support where possible. This dream must come true and the memory of  HIS  mission to Africa  must  continue and  be seen in such landmarks.

While thanking the Almighty God who inspired you while on  your visit and stay with us in our parish We pray that He brings this work to completion  and may we together with the  Blessed Mother  say
LET HIS WILL BE DONE.

In  his Sacred heart,

Fr  Timothy.

Fr. Timothy's grotto team expects the grotto to cost 3,504,000 Ugandan Shillings ($1,460).

On this the Feast of the Nativity of Mary, our entire team asks you to join us in prayer.

Please pray that the effort to raise this grotto will be as successful as the effort to raise their cross, for there is no Sacred Heart of Jesus, without both the cross and the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Pray with us that by the next Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Parish of Buchanya will have a grotto to go with their cross.

Pray for each individual who will contribute in this parish.

Pray especially for the children, who will give their "widow's mite," and for all those who will benefit from a place to pray with the Holy Mother.

Most especially, pray that Fr. Timothy's parish will be a beacon of Christ's Love and Divine Mercy in this region affected by deadly mudslides and great poverty.

Happy Feast of Corpus Christi from Africa!

                                                                                 +

Happy Solemnity of Corpus Christi!

Theresa and I received text messages from Lisa, Giannine and Judi today from Tanzania.

They are very appreciative of all of the prayers and support for their travel, pilgrimage, and the upcoming Enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Mission that they will be leading.  They send greetings and Love to All.

It was a wonderful gift to hear from them today as well as see the amazing pictures that they were able to post.

Here are the pictures and text as posted on FB for your perusal:

Wonderful day in Moshi, Tanzania, for the procession of the Eucharist on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi. 2-3000 people attended. The day began with Mass celebrated by Bishop Amani who led the procession. It lasted 6 hours!!! The procession began at Christ the King Cathedral and ended at another parish, about 3.5 kilometers away.

Continued prayers for the Team and the upcoming Enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Mission!

She said:
"Love all the messages.  We haven't had Internet for a week and we are stopping at the local Internet Cafe that has wifi….thank you for all of the prayers - so many incredible blessings"

I received a post from Father William Oruko with the accompanying message and pictures:

"Good morning everybody. I want to share some of the photos from the Archdiocese of Tororo, Uganda. Paul Muyiya, a broadcaster at Radio Maria at St. Austin Parish in Mbale, Uganda, emailed the photos to me. Paul (holding the Sacred Heart of Jesus image in one of the photos) and others are attending the conference too. They met and accompanied Lisa and Giannine in the first journeys and talks to different schools."

Quick Update: Ginianne and Lisa's Bags Arrived

                                                                                     +

Happy Feast of St. Anthony!  The Patron of Finding Lost Items!

I was blessed to wake up this morning to a text from Judi, a member of the Team that will be flying to Tanzania to join Lisa, Ginianne and Pamela next week for the last leg of the pilgrimage - to assist and work at the large Mission of the Enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  Judi let me know that she called a contact on our Africa contact list (good thinking Judi!  And duh to me!) and she discovered that all is well - Ginianne arrived safely and Lisa received her bags.

When I sent the blog post yesterday, I received an email from a friend before I went to bed who wrote: "I bet she gets them tomorrow - the Feast of St. Anthony".    I have no idea when Lisa received them but we discovered that she found them on this wonderful feast for this amazing and precious saint!

GOD IS GOOD!  ALL THE TIME!

Many Thanks for all of your prayers for Lisa and Ginianne!

In Thanksgiving for Prayer

                                                                               +

Dear Friends,

I wanted to send a note of thanksgiving to all of you that offered prayer after reading or learning of Lisa's lost luggage (including many important and necessary mission materials).

I have absolutely no idea whether or not Lisa received her luggage, but, I know that the prayers were very, very much appreciated

All of us know that our prayers are heard and answered by God and we try in our best way to let go and trust Him in all things.  And so, without knowing about the actual outcome of the Lisa's luggage situation, we can be confident that all of the prayers offered for her intentions and on her behalf were instrumental in allowing her work to be as successful as it can and will be - luggage or not.

So, I personally want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers.

Yours Sincerely In Christ,

Mary

PS  If you could please continue to keep Lisa and Ginianne in your prayers -

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have Mercy on us…
   Rosa Mystica, pray for us...

An Important call to Prayer for Three Upcoming African Missions!!!

Greetings to all in the name of Our Lord Jesus,

It is with great joy and much gratitude that I write to you to share the good news of three upcoming Missions to Africa:   two which are Pro-Life Conferences and one which is an Enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Mission.

By the grace of God, we have been able to travel to Kenya and Uganda over the past several years, presenting the Enthronement Missions under the spiritual leadership of Father William Oruko, Apostles of Jesus Priest from Kenya,  now stationed in the Diocese of Knoxville.

The simple message of the Enthronement is taking the love you have for Jesus, and publicly proclaiming Him as “King of your family or school, vocation” etc…  It is a one step further in the love one has for Jesus and in the context of a beautiful ceremony, He is publicly proclaimed as “King!”  The Enthronement brings countless blessings!

It is the “Social Reign of Jesus in the Market Place”… He desires for all of us to be His instruments to bring His Light, Love and Mercy into all aspects of our society…Transforming our world into a “Civilization of Love and Life”.  Thus the Enthronement brings about change in our world.

When giving the Enthronement Mission we always incorporate the Pro-Life message because they are so connected…the social reign of Jesus in the market place, taking the message of the dignity of every human life into the world…making a difference right where God has placed us.

A direct fruit of last year’s Enthronement Mission is the 5 day Pro-Life Youth Conference that we will be presenting this June 12 -16  in Uganda.  One of the young people who had come to the Enthronement Mission last year,  asked if we could come back and give a Pro-Life Conference to the youth….God’s grace for sure and a direct result and fruit of the Enthronement Mission!

The first part of the journey

...will be the “International Family and Pro-Life Conference”, organized by the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria…”Witnessing to the dignity of every human Life” from June 5th- June 8th.

I will be traveling to Abuja, Nigeria, and by the grace of God, I was asked to be a speaker at the International Pro-Life Conference Abuja.

I have been working with Obianuju Ekeocha….who is the founder of the Culture of Life Africa (http://www.cultureoflifeafrica.org/ )

Obianuju is a Nigerian woman, who lives in London and has spoken on EWTN and on the BBC recently about all that is going on in Africa and the need to raise awareness of the dangers of the demise of the family in Africa through contraception, abortion and homosexual marriage.  Uju, as she is called, was recently at the UN conference in Washington, D.C.  and has appeared on EWTN Live with Father Mitch Pacwa about this upcoming Nigerian Pro-Life Conference.

The second part of the journey...

Following my stay in Nigeria, I will connect with a couple of members of the team in Tororo, Uganda, and together we will present a five day Pro-Life Youth Conference, June 12- 16,
Organized by “Light for Community Concerns Uganda” (LCC-Uganda).

The Third part of the journey...

Last year while we were in Mombasa, Kenya, we received an invitation to present the Enthronement Mission this year in Moshi, Tanzania, on the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and we will be traveling there to present the Enthronement Mission June 26 – June 29.

Like many nations, Africa is under attack from the western moral decay and from the big money of international organizations, such as International Planned Parenthood.  International Planned Parenthood is trying to push their agenda of contraceptives, abortion and homosexual marriage on a culture who does not want it.   God is raising up strong Bishops, priests and lay leaders in Africa and here in the US, to help fight to preserve what they have in the family, which is so beautiful.  It is easier to prevent something from coming in than to try and undo it once it is entrenched, as we have learned from 40 plus years of Roe vs. Wade.

I know that the light of Christ is making visible and clear the way Africa is to go, and I pray they be given the continued courage, and fortitude, and help from all of us to not go down the road so many western nations have chosen, which only leads to heartache of body and soul.

Please find below the schedule for Uganda, as well as our day to day itinerary in hopes of prayer for these Missions.

As we approach this journey of faith to serve Our Lord and His people in Nigeria, Uganda and Tanzania, I am forever grateful to God for all the prayers and support and the opportunity to serve God with all of you,…we are all one in the spirit and united in His Heart as we go forth to spread His Light and His Love and Mercy and Truth to all we meet.

It is a blessing to be on the road with all of you…God has us all in this together and it is the power of prayer that will change our world to be a “Civilization of Love” one heart at a time…
Please feel free to pass this along to friends and family for prayers…as we are all God’s children, all doing His work, from wherever He has placed us.

We are in “good hands”….His Hands and Our Lady’s mantle of protection…

Those traveling this year are Giannine Morris and Judi Pedas.   Serving as our coordinator on the African side is Pamela Angawa, and I know that I speak for them in thanking all of you from our hearts for your prayers…

Lots of Love in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary,

Lisa Morris

World Congress of the Enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus October 2014

Greetings in the Heart of Jesus!

If you haven't heard about the Heart of Jesus, He desires to lead your family to peace and safety, regardless of its size or the condition it is in.

"Homeland security" is not just for our country but for your family and church so come and learn about “enthroning” (dedicating) your family, school, community, business and nation to His heart and living under the shelter of his mercy and grace.

Did you know?

One of the promises made by the Sacred Heart to St. Margaret Mary is that "the apostles of the Sacred Heart will draw down special blessings on their native land and on their families...What happiness for those who contribute to making the adorable Heart of Jesus known, loved and glorified. By that means they will secure a powerful protector for their native land."

More on the upcoming Sacred Heart World Congress:

The 1st Sacred Heart World Congress...
was hosted by the Sacred Heart Apostolate in Paray-le-Monial, France in October 2011.

This 2nd Sacred Heart World Congress
will be held at the HOTEL IRVINE Jamboree Center (formerly the Hyatt Regency) IN IRVINE, CALIFORNIA OCTOBER 2-5, 2014.

The event is sponsored by the Sacred Heart Apostolate. All will be welcomed by Bishop Kevin Vann of the Diocese of Orange in California.

This is the plan to create a new fire of love throughout the world....bringing forth the "Fire of Divine Love."

And More Pictures to Share of Pamela's Visit!

+

Yesterday, Pamela and Lisa drove up to visit Father William in Kingsport, TN, at St. Dominic's Parish.  Here are some pictures of their visit:

Father William, Pamela and Father Mike Nolan

This morning, Lisa and Pamela were able to meet with Peggy Humphreys for some breakfast:

Immediately following their breakfast, I was FINALLY able to meet with Lisa and Pamela in the parking lot of a Walgreens.  I have been sick since Pamela arrived in Knoxville and this was the first time that I was able to greet her.  And it was wonderful!!!

I was able to give Pamela a small stack of the holy cards (we are holding them up) to bring back with her to Nairobi to hand out to those that would like one.   The cards are of St. Ignatius of Loyola and St. Aloysius Gonzaga as they adore the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  We gave these cards out to our friends and family in Knoxville that attended our sharing evenings.

Today, Lisa and Giannine and Judi are headed up to the Smokey Mountains with Pamela.  Tomorrow, Judi has graciously offered to host an open house for all of us to come and spend time with Pamela.

God is very good!  All the time!

Here is a snap of the back of the holy card:

March for Life 2014 - Prayer and Supprt for Lisa, Team Leader of our Enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Team

+

Lisa Morris, our Team Leader, will be traveling to Washington DC for the March For Life on January 22, 2014.

Lisa will represent the Culture of Life Africa as their DC Coordinator as outlined below in an excerpt taken from their website http://www.cultureoflifeafrica.com/2014/01/marching-in-america-to-promote-culture.html

Culture of Life Africa joins in the March for Life USA

We are so excited to announce that Culture of Life Africa will be well represented at both the upcoming March for Life Washington DC on January 22nd as well as the Walk for Life San Francisco on January 23rd.

If you would want to join us to give a stronger voice to the protection of the African people especially the unborn babies of Africa or you would want to help us explain to the public about the far reaching toxic effects of the  federally fueled and funded Culture of Abortion in America and it's direct impact on Africa or you would want to help us raise awareness of the various nefarious projects in Africa funded by American tax-dollars, we would be very glad and grateful to welcome you!
Please email us so that we can connect you to the wonderful women who will be coordinating and carrying the Culture of Life Africa banners and African pro-life brochures.

Our Coordinators:

For March for Life Washington DC is Lisa Morris

For Walk for Life San Francisco is Claire Obenson

We have also confirmed that our March for Life DC coordinator Lisa Morris, will be interviewed for EWTN TV by EWTN host and dear friend to Culture of Life Africa- Teresa Tomeo.
This will be a perfect opportunity  for us to witness to the real challenges that Africa is facing at this time when the Culture of Death is being powerfully propagated throughout the world by morally depraved (mostly western) social engineers who unfortunately are highly placed leaders, policy makers and philanthropists.

Please contact us by email (col.africa@yahoo.com) and come with us as we march and walk courageously for the sanctity of human life.

Many thanks!

Lisa has requested specific prayers for her interview:

…that her word's may truly be God's words as spoken through His Heart to really get the message across about what's going on in Africa in the fight to preserve the Culture of Life.

...That she is articulate and understandable and that it touches people's hearts in such a way that they will be led to pray.  And through their prayer they will spread the awareness and take the action that God is asking of them…

Many Thanks for your prayers and support of the March!
